New Seeds Festival Sponsors and Supporters:

Smart Comedy for Sandy

Smart Comedy Support Group's  fundraiser for Hurricane Sandy victims was a HUGE success!  We raised $650 for the victims of hurricane Sandy.  What a great night of amazing comedy from our members:  Robin Savage, Mary Tischbein, Michael Freed and Gay Freedman.  Special thanks to Sacred Grounds Coffeehouse, an integral part of the work we do here in Tampa bay.  Here's our mugshot below:

Since it's inception in 2010, Smart Comedy has raised funds for the Crisis Center, Mrs. Lowery's third grade class at Eagle's Nest Elementary School and Hurricane Sandy victims--the power of the artists!

Smart Comedy's November's (I like possessive pronouns) topic was on "Recycling", and what a night--eight comics and critiques!  The purpose of this group is to support the development of comedic material on socially relevant topics. SCSG will premiere its new work in summer of 2013. Support and be a part of the newest, most relevant comedy around! Sign up now for December's topic!

No Shame Theatre

Our third month of Tampa's newest night of experimental theatre was a blast!  No Shamer Rob McCabe brought his monologue on Sylvia Plath--thanks Rob for that great piece!  Our next show is Dec 14 at 11 pm. LIke us on Facebook and you'll get all our updates! Bring your scripts down at 10:30 pm and you too can be in the show! No Shame Theatre is celebrating it's 26th year showcasing new work. No Shame was started by two Iowa Playwrights for the purpose of showcasing all kinds of work with a 'Dare to Fail' atmosphere.

Artists in the News

We would like to give a shoutout to all the comics in Tampa Bay who raised funds for Sandy victims: Tony Gaud and Catherine Maloney Larson.  They arranged shows at the Tampa Improv and various shows throughout Florida these last two weeks.  Thanks you two for the great work you're doing!

Once again, a big thank you to everyone for your support!
